Last quartile, three students worked together on the design of Villa Benoit. The client asked them to work on a design for communual living by means of container construction, additonal to the transformation of an existing office-building. A clear relationship was etablished between the new units and the existings building.
First, the location was analysed thoroughly, as well as the existing building to create knowledge regarding the possibilities. Addtional to finalised floorplans and renders, the group created mass-diagrams and circulation sketches which strengthened their design.
At the end of the project, the group presented their design to different stakeholders which was quite the experience!
