Shape the future of student housing in Eindhoven!
Many students struggle to find housing, especially international students looking for a comfortable and social environment. Stichting Eindje Bouwen wants to change that by giving students a voice in shaping their own housing. Through this Architecture Shop project, you can actively contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable student housing landscape.
Create Social Impact - Research students' housing experiences and help determine what makes a housing environment truly welcoming and community-oriented.
Map the Future with GIS - Use GIS to locate vacant buildings in Eindhoven and analyze which areas are most suitable for student housing. Experience with GIS is useful for the future and a requirement for some graduate projects.
Turn empty spaces into housing - Research and map where opportunities exist in the city to house students. Your research will help transform vacant buildings into vibrant student communities.
To be able to pitch the idea of temporarily transforming vacant buildings into student housing, there also needs to be an example project to show the interested people. Are you interested in temporary structures and would you like to look into the building technology for this project?
This project is an opportunity to support fellow students, learn about research data and gain hands-on experience with GIS. In addition, you can contribute to real solutions to the housing crisis in Eindhoven. Join us and be part of the change!
