Owner associations database analysis

The client of this project was a former student at the TU/e and now member of an owner association – he questioned himself how beneficial it could be for owner associations to share a large database in which all financial documents can be shared, so that they could compare their expenses. The research of Silvijn, currently studying at the TU/e, attempts to be the preliminary study  of this question, studying the usefulness and application of this shared database.

Finally the research was specified by the question ‘Are the building dimensions and the building type a relevant cost-determining factor regarding the service costs of an owner association?’, which was investigated by a literature review, service cost component analysis and a final check. This study ended in three recommendations for the further exploratory study of the shared database plan.
