The inhabitants of a semi-detached dwelling keep hearing contact noise from closing doors, booming sounds, heavy walking, etcetera. Both neighbors would like to know if these noises are normal/acceptable and what could be done about this. The dwelling has been finished in 2002 in the Vinex location Leidscherijn Utrecht, in the neighborhood of Parkwijk. Recently the neighbors have installed floor heating and on top of that a thin layer of pvc/linoleum flooring. The inhabitants suspect that this influenced the compactness of the floor and they are wondering if any of this has something to do with the noises. In short they want you to find out what the cause of these contact noises is and what they could do to get rid of them.
